The end of welding is near.

Today we had a lot of work done on the car.
At the passenger side of the car in the rear wheel well on the end of the rocker box, we welded in a new piece of metal.
On the inside of the car the rear seat struts are welded in place.
And then I turned my attention to the rear of the car.
At the end of the frame jest about where the rear shackle of the spring is mounted we noticed some bulging. With a few taps of the hammer rust fell out.
And a previous repair was not done like it should have been.
And yes both sides are infected.
So I started cutting and grinding the rotted places away onto bare metal.
Then a piece of plate was bent shaped and drilled and fitted in place. After welding we have now a solid repair.

The same goes for the other side. Cutting the bad part away.
And welding in a new piece.
A little bit of grinding and it looks a lot better.
Today we had a technical advisor come in to give us some pointers of the work already done.
We will have to do some more welding on the car at certain locations before it is ready for technical inspection.
When does people give the green light we are able to start with prepping for paint.
