Today I started fabricating a stand to put on the parts while sanding them on the inside.
I used some 1 1/4 " tube that we had laying around and put a few bents in it.

 Next I drilled some holes.

 And then bolted them together and welded a chain between them.

 Then I disassembled a few parts from the front of the car.

 And dismounted a few bezels and lights from the panel that sits below the rear bumper.

I also made a walk arround the car and found a few spots that need some attention.

Fine sanding Finished

Today I continued sanding the engine cover.

 After that I turned my attention to the panels below and above the front bumper.
They were dented and needed some attention.
So after a little sanding and some hammering the most of the dent was removed and the filler could be applied.

 Both parts are then sanded to remove the last low spots.

 Then the fine filler was applied and after some more sanding with 120 grid paper The parts are done.

So this means that the sanding of filler is done.
We can now start preparing the car for primer and spray filler.

Today I sanded the trunk lid and the top of the quarter Panels.
I also started Sanding in the front Hood.

Today it was hot in the garage. It was about 89 °F with a High humidity.
But I finished sanding the right side of the car.

Next week we will continue with the hood top side of the car ( front and rear hood) and some other things.

Today I sanded the complete left side of the car.
And a piece of the quarter panel of the right side.

Rough sanding finshed

The first I did today was finishing the hood.
And that was the end of the rough sanding and filling.
Until now I was sanding with 40 grid paper.
Next I applied the finishing filler, it is finer of structure and gives a smoother finish.
After all the filled in parts were filled with finishing primer I started sanding.
And at the end of the day the rear left quarter panel was sanded smooth with a 120 grid paper.

Yes another day of sanding

Today I sanded the two doors and the Hood And the left rear wheel arch.
The doors are now ready Most of the low spots are leveled out.
The rear wheel arch is also looking good.
And the Hood needs some more sanding tomorrow.

Sanding some more

Today The filler arrived.
So the first thing I did was apply the filler to the low spot and Then the sanding started again.
The pictures maybe say more then words.

Sanding More

Today we sanded some more, including the Engine lid and rear trunk.
This was done because we ran out of filler.
Tomorrow we will have more and can continue.

A other day of sanding

Yes we did Sand some more on the car. We also applied more filler to the car and then sanded some more.
We even worked on the door and fender on the driver side.

and more sanding

Today I finished the quarter panel on the passenger side.

There are still some minor imperfections but that will be taken care off at a later time.
I also nearly finished the quarter panel on the driver side.
But suddenly I got called away.
So tomorrow we will continue.

More sanding

Today I continued the Sanding and Filling.

All the work done until today  progresses in a positive way. A few more times sanding and filling and these parts will be perfect and we can continue with the other parts.
