Roughing up the trunk

Today I started with the rear panel.

I added some more filler to fill in the low spots.

 Followed with some sanding to smooth out the last high spots and the sanded the surrounding parts with 220 grid paper.

 After that I did some sanding in the trunk with 220 grid and with a red scotch pad. This will insure that eventual over spray of the filler will adhere to the surface.

And then I started with the passenger compartment.
